Will this be seen? Who knows...
Hello friends. Quick confession, I'm writing this on a Tuesday. Another confession, by the time you (hopefully) read this I will be spending time with my grandparents! It has been well over a year since I've seen them, so I'm really excited to get to hug my grandma and grandpa again (especially with how scary COVID was and how hard it was to get them vaccine appointments). So many people have lost their loved ones to COVID, and so it's bittersweet to think about getting to hug them again. It's going to be a very happy day, but I can't help but think abut how many people have lost someone they loved in the past year. I can't express how excited I am to see them, but the one catch is they don't have WiFi. So Sunday I'm going to be trying my best to add this to the Sunday Post linky from my phone, hopefully that goes well lol.
I also want to wish everyone in the U.S. a happy Fourth of July! I haven't bought fireworks in years, and this year will be no different. I'll just be spending the day with my grandparents, and we might go out to eat at a restaurant (first time I will be doing that in a year!).
One more quick note, I'm very new to Wix, and if I click on your name in the comments it doesn't actually take me to your blog (which I was expecting it to do lol). So make sure that you leave a link to your blog in the comments so I can come say hi! And if anyone knows how to edit the comments on Wix to allow people to add a link to their blog, please share your wisdom! lol
Have a great week everyone!
CURRENTLY READING
I picked up Yolk on Sunday night and so far I am really enjoying it! Still slowly trucking through The 120 Days of Sodom, and at this point I'm wondering if I should keep going or just DNF. I'm also around 14% though Capsule, and it's definitely intriguing! Gives me major Nerve vibes.
NEW BOOKS? NEW BOOKS.
Capsule and The Misadventures of an Amateur Naturalist I got from NetGalley, and I received a copy of Life and Other Complications via Lola's Book Tours to review!
You know how sometimes you get carried away when requesting ARCs? Well I thought there would be no way I would get approved for any of them and here I am now... I got a lot of reading and reviewing to do.
The Last She is from NetGalley and Human Beings I got via BookSiren.
WHAT I POSTED THIS WEEK
On Monday I talked about how I will be participating in #COYER summer! I talked about the basic guidelines and also listed some books I'm hoping to read. You can find that post here.
As promised, I shared some of my thoughts on Animal Crossing New Horizons since it has been out for more than a year now. Also there are lots of cute pictures throughout the post of my villagers so if you want to see something cute I would highly recommend giving them a look.
COMING UP THIS WEEK
On Tuesday I will be a stop for the Life and Other Complications blog tour! I'll be sharing an excerpt along with a giveaway opportunity where three people will win $10 Amazon gift cards. I'm super excited to give this book a read, so I hope that you guys stop by!
I'm also hoping to get Capsule read and reviewed so that I can post that before it is released on July 10th... it'll be a race so we'll see if I make it!

QUESTION OF THE WEEK
We're half way though the year, what has been your favorite book you have read so far? Mine has to be The Importance of Being Earnest. Let's chat! :)
The Sunday Post is a weekly blog recap that is hosted by The Caffeinated Reviewer. Each week we share some news from our lives, what we read, any books that we got, and what we posted, and anything else we want to share from our week! If you want to learn more you can visit this info page.

Hope you had a great 4th! And how cool you were able to spend it with your grandparents. Covid has been so awful in terms of people seeing family... hope you had a fantastic visit!
Let's see... my favorite of the year so far. that would have to be Good Girls Lie. Such a twisty read!

How wonderful that you get to spend the weekend with your grandparents! I hope you had a wonderful time, full of COVID-safe hugs <3 Not a clue how to use WIX, but I'm sure there's got to be a way to do like a comment plug in or something? Good luck and have a great week (This is Berls @ Because Reading).
